has just been named editor-at-large at Uptown magazine.
The former co-host of 'The View' makes her column debut in the special Weddings and Travel issue of the magazine, which hits newsstands on Jan. 20, 2011.
Uptown is published eight times a year, and the glossy describes itself as "the only luxury lifestyle publication for affluent African Americans."
"As an accomplished attorney and television personality, Star represents Uptown's readers and will bring added 'star power' to our consumers," said Editor-in-Chief Keija Minor
The 48-year-old talent will contribute a regular column in the magazine, pen political, entertainment and celebrity stories, and provide some features for Uptown's Website.
In addition to her new venture with Uptown, Jones will be among the celebrity contestants on season four of Donald Trump's
'Celebrity Apprentice,' which premieres in March.
The Badin, N.C.-bred personality will also publish her debut novel, 'The Lunch Club' (Simon & Schuster), which is loosely based on her time at 'The View' early next year.
