Jonathan Slocumb is one of the few comics in the business who can perform on both 'Def Comedy Jam' and 'Bobby Jones Gospel.'

The "Couture Comic," as he calls himself, is readying the release of his curse-free DVD series. The first DVD, 'Live From Chicago,' hits stores on Oct. 25.

Slocumb, who had a recurring role on the former WB sitcom 'The Steve Harvey Show,' can be seen in the touring stage play, 'Cheaper to Keep Her' alongside Vivica A. Fox, Brian McKnight, Wendy Raquel Robinson and Christian Keyes.

BV Buzz caught up with the Hollywood funnyman and had him take our Buzz Blitz.

If you could sing like anyone, who would it be?

Brian McKnight. His range and vocal control is unwavering. I'm on tour with him right now, and night after night he makes it seem so effortless. He recorded a theme song for me that's featured on my Website www.jonathanslocumb.com.

If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would you choose?

Nobody but Bill Cosby.

Who were your celebrity crushes growing up?

Thelma from 'Good Times,' Bern Nadette Stanis. Also Phyllis Hyman.

What's the one bad habit you can't seem to break?

Staying up way too late!

Who is your favorite female comedienne and why?

Wanda Sykes! Absolute brilliance and cleverness.

Steve Harvey, Sinbad and Cedric The Entertainer are performing comedy concerts at the same time and you can only go to one. Which one would you chose and why?

Sinbad! He and Mr. Cosby make it possible for me to be widely accepted. There aren't many black cuss-free comics so I'll always support those who are. However, if Cedric has a late show, I'd go see him the same night. He, like me, puts on a comedy "show."
