Actor Wesley Snipes is set to serve three years in prison after a court rejected the actor's appeal of a conviction on tax evasion charges.

Snipes was sentenced to 36 months in prison but declared the sentence was "unreasonable" and filed the appeal.

Wesley SnipesOn Friday, in a 35-page decision, the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit affirmed the original ruling and dismissed Snipes' claims that his punishment was too severe.

It has not been determined when Snipes will turn himself in to begin his sentence.

Snipes recently starred in the film 'Brooklyn's Finest' and has wrapped production on two other films, 'Gallowwalker' and 'Game of Death,' which will be released next year.
