Take 6 member Claude McKnight is the latest entertainer to disclose his battle with sex addiction.
The 10-time Grammy winner, who is the older brother of R&B veteran Brian McKnight, decided to undergo treatment for sex addiction after a scorned ex-girlfriend blasted the singer for his philandering ways on the internet earlier this year.
"The night of February 20, that's the day everything came out this year, I did all the praying I could muster up. I knew I needed to go into some type of damage control mode and that's when I wrote the apology and the manifesto on my site. I asked the Lord to direct me to counsel where I could get healing. It was almost midnight at the time, but I knew if I didn't do something at that exact moment, I was going to get up the next day and sweep it under the rug. I got online and looked for sexual addiction therapy in the Nashville area. But, I found a 60-day online course called The Way of Purity," McKnight confessed in an interview with DaGospelTruth.com.
The 47-year-old member of the a capella sextet has never been married and revealed in the interview that despite Take 6 being a Christian group, he lived a rock star lifestyle most of his career.
"My entire adult life I have been living way outside of God's will until now. Within the last eight months or so that's when all this came to a head," he shared.
The devout Seventh Day Adventist also addressed the rumors that he had borrowed $34,000 from an ex-girlfriend that he never paid back.
"Yes, I borrowed the money. We were dating at the time and I needed a favor. There were a couple of projects that came up that were supposed to take care of the money I borrowed right away and that didn't happen. When we were dating, giving me the money wasn't a problem. It's when the relationship ended that things went wrong," he acknowledged, before adding: "Everything is completely taken care of and she has been paid back in full."
Take 6 has had tremendous crossover success in the contemporary jazz genre.
The Dove and Soul Train Award-winning group's last CD, 'The Standard,' was released in September of 2008.

Hey Claude,
I think that it is beautiful and commendable that you have given your life to God and allowed him to take over. It is with him that we are free. I know you will overcome this addiction and become whole again. It won't be easy, because satan has many ways to tempt you without you even realizing it. Keep praying and the rest of us will as well.
God Bless You.

ol' Claude should have done a better job of "obscuring" his identity online and never ever sending or posting pictures anywhere.

In my 20+ years of being an Astrologer, I have come across more men born under the sign of LIBRA who claim to have this so-called Sex Addition. Eric Benet, Lil (baby making) Wayne, and now Claude McKnight, to name a few. These men have all the same thing in common. They are Libra's and claim to have a Sex Addiction.
