Sherri Shepherd has dropped pounds and gained a cover!
'The View' host graces the cover of Aug. 31 issue of OK! magazine that hits newsstands this week.
Donning a turquoise swimsuit, the 42-year-old comedienne talks about losing 41 pounds without surgery for her big Aug. 6 swimsuit reveal on 'The View.'
"I lost weight last year and started gaining it back because I wasn't exercising," Shepherd explained in the issue. "I said to my producer, 'Why don't we do something where I tell people 'Let's do it together!' and maybe [up the ante with] a bathing suit.' The minute I said that, I was like, 'Gosh, I should take it back because I really want M&M's!' But I had to do it. Then all of sudden I had all these people doing it with me. I'd Tweet about going to the gym and how hard it was, and followers would write and say, 'Sherri, I've lost two pounds!' I thought, 'Okay, people are getting into this.'"
The newly divorced, mother of one will premiere her Lifetime sitcom 'Sherri' on Oct. 5, the same day that her debut tome 'Permission Slips: Every Woman's Guide to Giving Herself a Break' hits stores.
'The View' returns from its summer hiatus on Sept. 8, 2009.

No, I don't want or need to loose weight. I got to give it to Sheri for all the hard work she put in it to loose 41 lbs. I'm sure she had a lot of followers on Twitter who she inspired too! She looks nice with a new attitude. I can't wait for her show to come on in the fall. I wish her well and lots of success! :-)

i agree too.she's short with big shoulders and bust so losing weight doesn't look right on her after all.hey if she's happy,its really none of our business.she still looks like another version of star jones but star looked very pitfully and disgusting with a big head while her skin was shrinking too.YUCK!

You can definately tell by the comments some people make wheather they even know the lord. She is blessed with her own body within her skin. Maybe that's how she was made. The fact that she is confident and healthy, that's what matters. Good for you Sherri!

Dee you are right as I was just looking at a website that had 12 body types and Sherri's body type was one of them.Yes we all have different body types just as we have different skin tones and that is because God made us just as he wanted us to be. Sherri is a successful black woman with money and I am sure there are some white men out there that would be happy to have her. I agree with everything you have said, I just wanted to add a little something. I happpen to be the body type that Sherri is but I haven't always been but just being alive and knowing my Lord and Savior is so much better than having a beautiful shape and headed in the wrong direction.

I love Sherry I think she's and inspiration to many adn I hope she continues doing what she's doing whether she is big or small.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of her on the view and on her new show.
