"The sex is better! I have so much more energy. I can move around better, and that's what it's all about. I want to lose more, so I'll just keep eating better and exercising, and the weight will come off. It took time to put in on, and it will take time to take if off. It's still okay to be big, but let's be big and healthy. I had to lose some weight to get healthier because I want to be around for a while. I have twin sons who are 3 and a son who is 19, and I want the opportunity to meet their children."
– Actress/comedienne Mo'Nique talks about her 40-pound weight loss in the new Life & Style magazine.
The full-figured talent, who penned a best-selling book called 'Skinny Women Are Evil,' went from 262 pounds to 220 pounds.
Though her nationally syndicated radio show was canceled earlier this year, the Baltimore-bred funnywoman will host a late-night talk show on BET, beginning Oct. 5.
Mo'Nique also stars in the anticipated Lee Daniels' film 'Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire.'

That's funny but true! I love how she loves herself, but I recall thinking one of these days Monique is going to collapse from cardiac arrest on the stage of her PHAT fashion show, & then she might get.
Love yourself for who you are, but you should always strive to be healthy through good diet & exercise

I had sad this prior that Monique fat behind would be forced to loose weight or die and she would leave all them women who she promoted as being fat okay. All them fat women need to sue her big buttt.
SHE IS STILL LOUD GHETTO AND FAT!
SHE IS A LOUD IGNORANT B-MORE STRAIGHT UP GHETTO BAMMA AQUIRED WEALTH FROM BEING WHAT WHITE AMERICA WANTED? A LOUD FAT IGNORANT BLACK WOMAN ENTERTAINING THE PLANTATION.

To Lisa,
I totally agree with you. I've never cared for her comedy and totally got tired of the whole fat girl thing. She really gets on my nerves and totally bores me. Do we really care that her sex is better or worse since losing weight? Does anybody really care that she lost weight? She's already used up 10 of her 15 minutes of fame and the clock isn't ticking fast enough!!!

Apparently, Lisa and GSA, you care.
Otherwise why would you not only take the time to read the article but ALSO post a comment. You mean spirited trolls.

I find it offensive that Monique would even use the term "skinny" I read her book skinny women are evil and had gained respect for her and the curvy population of women. No one in Hollywood ever sticks to the "I wont let them effect my weight" line its sad

MoNique never said it was "great" to be fat, she just said no one should be ashamed, or made to feel bad because of their size. She always said you should love yourself. Besides, she IS a comedienne....some things she says are meant to be viewed as such. She is not trying to be "skinny" now, she is just trying to get healthier. Too much excess weight is not good for anyone. She is 220 lbs, now, according to the article.....hardly "skinny".
