Grand Gala hosted its annual Kentucky Derby weekend in Louisville, Kentucky and a who's who of African-American entertainers, sports stars and business professionals gathered for the stellar weekend.

This year, Grand Gala's guests included Michael Jordan, actress Gabrielle Union, actor/singer Tyrese, Tichina Arnold ('Everybody Hates Chris'), Star Jones, Lance Gross ('House of Payne'), 'America's Next Top Model' winner Eva Marcielle, Lynn Whitfield ('Madea's Family Reunion'), NFL free agent Will Demps, syndicated radio host Tom Joyner, Warrick Dunn (Atlanta Falcons), Amobi Okoye (Houston Texans), fitness guru Donna Richardson Joyner, NFL player Byron Leftwich, BET founder Robert Johnson, Dwight Freeney (Indianapolis Colts), radio and TV mogul Cathy Hughes, NFL cornerback Nnandi Asomugha (Oakland Raiders), entrepreneur Kwame Jackson ('The Apprentice'), journalist Ed Gordon ('Our World with Black Enterprise'), Chester Pitts (Houston Texans) and former NBA star Charles Oakley.

In addition to a pre-gala VIP reception on Friday night that featured a performance by jazz musician Kevin Whalum, guests partied to the sounds of Salt-N-Pepa deejay Spinderella who spun records at a party hosted by radio jock Joyner.

Following the race at Churchill Downs on Saturday, Grand Gala hosted its annual black-tie bash where R&B veteran Teena Marie performed.
