MVP & Sherri Shepherd

'The View' host Sherri Shepherd is used to sparring with her co-hosts during the Hot Topics segment of the popular ABC talk show.

Now the 42-year-old comedienne has taken the action to the wrestling ring and will appear on the May 1 episode of 'WWE Friday Night SmackDown' on MyNetwork TV.

The recently divorced mother-of-one is apparently courting WWE champion Montel Vontavious Porter, professionally known as MVP.

During the taping of the 35-year-old grappler's match against wrestler Dolph Ziggler at New York's Madison Square Garden earlier this week, Shepherd was ringside cheering on her dreamboy and even got involved physically.

"Everybody needs them a MVP," the former 'Less Than Perfect' star said about the wrestler after their initial date.

When asked by her co-hosts was there a romance beginning between the two, Shepherd only offered: "He was a perfect gentleman. He's on the road 52 weeks out of the year, so we'll have to see."

MVP, who is currently the WWE United States Champion, will also make an appearance on the May 5 episode of 'The View.'
