Just a week after false reports by Star magazine that Sherri Shepherd was going to be fired from the 'The View' because of the recession, Lifetime has now announced that they have inked a deal with the popular daytime talk show host to star in a comedy pilot.
The cable network has ordered the not-yet-titled sitcom project by the former star of ABC's 'Less Than Perfect,' which will tape this spring.
"I'm so excited about my upcoming pilot with Lifetime," Shepherd told BV Buzz exclusively. "The script focuses on life after divorce in a humorous way, and in times like these, we really need a good laugh!"
The TV pilot is loosely based on Shepherd's life experiences and was originally developed for the CW network in 2007.

I like Sheri. I really can't stand Elizabeth. I Love Joy and Whoopie. I'm happy for Sheri. I hope the View doesn't do something stupid and let Sheri go from the View. They should let Miss Loud Mouth Elizabeth go! She is so irritating!
CONGRATS SHERI!

I wish it were Elisabeth that was leaving. Can't stand her! She adds nothing to the show. I hope after this baby she decides to stay home. I will miss Sherri. It will be a great loss, but I am happy for her new adventure and wish her well. Barbara...PLEASE get rid of Elisabeth!!

Joy is hilarious. So are Whoopie and Sherry. Elizabeth brings along her conservative talking points straight from FOX news (yawn) but I love the show and how much it is like having a fun coffee break with friends. Those of you that only want one view can always tune into FOX for that. Let the rest of us laugh with the girls.

Has anyone noticed that the people who supposedly hate blacks are always on the black websites and message boards? That's because it is jealousy and envy that makes them hate. So, go get a tan, pump up your lips, perm your hair and do everything else to try to look black or date women that pay for black features, but will never have our inner strength and soul. To see blacks successfull is eating you alive. Poor thing. Sherry was already successful before B. Walters came along, that is why she chose her. Now PRESIDENT OBAMA!! You must wake up sick. ROFL!!

I am on this site because they said someone from the View was leaving and I was hoping it was Elizabeth. I am white and I won't apologize for being on a "black" site.
