Just a week after false reports by Star magazine that Sherri Shepherd was going to be fired from the 'The View' because of the recession, Lifetime has now announced that they have inked a deal with the popular daytime talk show host to star in a comedy pilot.
The cable network has ordered the not-yet-titled sitcom project by the former star of ABC's 'Less Than Perfect,' which will tape this spring.
"I'm so excited about my upcoming pilot with Lifetime," Shepherd told BV Buzz exclusively. "The script focuses on life after divorce in a humorous way, and in times like these, we really need a good laugh!"
The TV pilot is loosely based on Shepherd's life experiences and was originally developed for the CW network in 2007.

Joy is not the big mouthed one on theshow it's Elizabeth! Joy has a great sense of humor and keeps the show real. She tells it like it is!
I will miss Sherri alot and wish her the best but was hoping it was Elizabeth saying she was leaving to stay home with her precious little ones!

I agree that Joy would not be missed. I always feel sorry for Elizabeth, when Joy starts putting down Pres. Bush. Then jumps all over Elizabeth when she says anything about the Dem. I found myself turning to another station when every Joy openings her mouth. Getting rid of her would be an asset to the View.

Joy is a blob. She needs to be checked for worms as she squirms in her chair so much. Her being a comedian is not an exaggeration, it is a lie. Barbara is a "has been" pumping her own specials, and Hippy Goldberg delights in being ugly both physically and mentally. To say this show is balanced is ridiculous. It is liberal propaganda and the network should be boycotted.

Love Joy. She is hilarious and she shuts Lizzie up. The show would not be the same if any one of them were missing - even Elizabeth. They have different views just like real life. Those of you that can only handle one view are missing out and it is so sad.

I would bet that, because Whoopi has the largest percentage of folks who think she's the best, you will surmise that mostly black people voted....if so, you should take another survey including that info.

OM-goodness! Your statement is simply ignorant, Grandma D! Whoopi has am extremely diverse fan base. Your simple mindedness is so very apparent in your post.
If you've ever seen Whoopi do stand up or had the opportunity to attend a show, you'd know that the majority of her audience members are non-African Americans! You have no right to summize that just because Whoopi is a viewer favorite (as determined by AOL voting), that the majority of the voters must be African American. I am a 32-year old African American woman and have never been a fan on Whoopi Goldberg. Barbara Walters is my favorite host.
Stop living your life according to ignorances. If you're a grandmother, as your screen name indicates, be a positive example to your grandchildren and new generations. America doesn't need anyone else breeding bigotry.

I never once though of race before I voted. I watch the View and I like Joy, Whoopie and Barbara. Can't stand Sherri and Elizabeth.

First of all your comment was ignorant. Whoopi Goldbergh has many fans of all nationalities and cultures that voted for her. I think she brings a lot of class to the show. She is not on there being raunchy, nasty, ignorant, or anything of the sort. I like her 100 times better than Rosie O'Donnel. She made me sick making it seem like everyone was against gays.
