Pop superstar Chris Brown, who is embroiled in a nasty domestic violence situation after being arrested last week for allegedly attacking girlfriend Rihanna, has broke his silence and released a statement in regard to the ordeal.
The 19-year-old 'Take You Down' singer said on Sunday that he is "sorry and saddened" by the incident and is undergoing counseling with his pastor, mother and other loved ones to cope with things.
"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person," Brown said in his statement.
"Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and-or reported in the media is wrong," he continued. "While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds."
Brown turned himself in to Los Angeles authorities on Feb. 8 and was released on $50,000 bail after being booked for investigation of making felony criminal threats. He has not been charged by the district attorney's office, which is still investigating the case.
His arrest reportedly stemmed fro
m an argument with his girlfriend, Rihanna, shortly after they left Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy Awards party.
Both singers were nominated for Grammy Awards but canceled their appearances on the Feb. 8 telecast the day of the show.
According to police reports, Brown and a woman began arguing as they were traveling in a car in Los Angeles' Hancock Park community shortly after midnight on Feb. 7. The fight escalated after they got out of the car, and Brown had left by the time officers arrived.
There have been countless blog rumors about what actually caused the alleged domestic incident, including one fabricated story about a sexually transmitted disease. Sources close to the situation deny the accusation and it is never referenced in the very detailed police report.
Brown and Rihanna have been dating since 2007.

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty. Everyone is rushing to judgement against Chris. Radio stations have stopped playing his music. But they continue to play R Kelly's music after he had fun with teenaged girls. Radio stations have stepped over the line. Since when do they become judge and jury. They can play music that disrepects women and promotes violence but then not play Chris Brown's music that does not promote violence or disrepect women. If it turns out that Chris Brown is innocent they all owe him an apologie and it is time like this that you know who your friends are. Chris we are big fans and continue to love and support you.

lets stop all this professional lynching its not for us to judge or destroy these people in a court of public opionion. Chris had a bad day they had a bad day probably infront of the paparazzi.
They are both very talanted and deserve to move through this process with out so much public commentary. It only aggrevates and gives permission to the worst of consecences for what was a momentary loss of control.
Lets give people the benefit of being human and allow them to have faults as well as vurtues.
We as a country need to develope character through compassion, caring, grace and mercy.
I hope that they both will continue to have great
careers as artists becuase that is what they are and we should be grateful for their talent to express what we can not.
God be with them and the hearts and minds of the american people. Let us be better then the blood thisty mobs in the colosuims of ancient Rome.

LOL! He's suddenly found the Lord. Next, he will embrace his blackness because THEY are against him because a black man can never catch a break. SMDH! Dude, you need a few anger management sessions with a professional, not your mama and your granny.

Prayer does help and that prayer can come from your Mother and Grandmother. Whe you have a close relationship with God you don't have to shout to the world I am a christian but your walk will say that. We all fall short but falling is not the problem it is how you get back up and strong family ties can help that. He did not say just his Mother and Grandmother but His Pastor as well. He is in the right place to get help. What we can do is pray for him as well and leave the negative comments off the blogs but lift him up in prayer. We do not know what happen but God does and will deal with the situation accordingly.
