After much speculation, Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland has officially ended her relationship with Mathew Knowles's Music World Entertainment.
BV Buzz was the first to obtain a statement by Rowland from her new publicist, Simone Smalls, of Simone Smalls PR, Inc., about the change in management.
"Mathew Knowles has been a positive influence in my career. I have had great success under his guidance -- both as a member of Destiny's Child and with my solo projects. Although we have decided to part ways professionally, the Knowles family and the entire Music World Entertainment team will always be my family," said Rowland.
Knowles, who is represented by Priscilla Clarke, of Clarke & Associates, LLC, is also quoted in the joint statement.
"After a very positive meeting between Kelly Rowland and myself, we have amicably agreed to end our professional relationship. My company, Music World
, will continue to manage Destiny's Child as a group. As an artist, Kelly has incredible talent, and I only wish her the best. We will always be family first and foremost, and as a dad, I only have love for Kelly," he said.
Rumors that the 27-year-old singer was planning to part ways with Beyonce's father began in December.
Initial reports claimed that Rowland was contemplating signing with 19 Entertainment (the company behind 'American Idol'), but I'm told that the singer has not yet decided exactly who she'll hire to be her next manager.
Though the Houston-bred entertainer became an international superstar with her last solo CD 'Ms. Kelly,' which was a chart-topper in both the United Kingdom and in France, Rowland has achieved only moderate solo success here in the United States.
A source at her record company, Columbia Records, where Rowland will remain as an artist, said that the label was ready for Rowland to go back into the studio to record her third solo album.
It has been rumored that the singer decided to make the management change so she could approach her junior solo CD with a fresh start.
In addition, the star of the films 'Freddy vs. Jason' and 'The Seat Filler' also has a television show being developed at the Style Network that is expected to launch before the end of the year.
Rowland recently collaborated with French singer Nadiya on the duet 'No Future in the Past,' which is featured on Nadiya's latest album, 'Electron Libre.'

Hey, She should have left long time ago? Maybe she will find her voice, produce GOOD SONGS, and have CONFIDENCE! Let her go international, she needs a fresh start. Please, take a break from the STATES! I hope this change will make her to have more confidence in her singing career. She will always sound like a BACKGROUND SINGER if she doesn't make a change, create a new sound, have confidece in her voice, and produce good music.
It's up to her, tell you the truth I really don't care.

It's about time. She should have dipped with the other original members. Matthew is not a mover or a shaker in the business. He just happens to have a beautiful daughter that is commercial. Thats his ticket and claim to fame. He can't even get Solange's sinking career off the ground, much less anyone else that has entrusted their careers to him. I don't think he manages Beyonce anymore. He's just her manager on paper. There are other thinkers behind her sprint to uber success. Matthew is more washed up than the girls he kicked out of the group.

It's about time. Matthew Knowles may say she's like a daughter to him, but his loyalty is first and foremost to Beyonce and her career. He even steers clear of Solange since she's a hothead and not even a blip on anyone's radar. Beyonce is his real daughter and Kelly will never have that kind of personal or professional relationship with him like Bey does. Why anyone thought it would be diffrent is beyond me.

It looks like after we got President Barrack Obama in office everybody is looking for real change!! It is about time she woke up and saw the writing on the wall! She and the other destiny's child members were just used until Bighead"ce could get her foot in the door to make her solo break!! The only reason Kelly won't make it as big as bighead"ce is because the public keeps saying it, they have been poisoned by a manufactured look that says this is waht you have to look like to be marketable, I"m not seeing a face when I am listening to music, If I like the way you sing thats all that matters I don't care how cute you look. That would be like saying all models got to sing good to model, but is reversed you damm near got to have movie star looks to sell albums.Bighead"ce may be flying high but she got to come back down!!

I don't even think he his Beyonce's manager anymore, so this will probably be a great move for her. There is nothing wrong with change and once she can get past the point of people comparing her to B, she will be fine
