'Seven Pounds' is a complex movie to describe.
Why? It's the kind of film you can't really discuss about without revealing the entire storyline.
And trust me, not knowing is truly the way you want to see this film! It's the payoff at the end of the film that makes the entire movie watching process worth it.
Rosario Dawson stars opposite Will Smith in this film that deals in many aspects with random acts of kindness.
The 29-year-old actress, who has also starred in 'Eagle Eye,' 'The Rundown' and 'Death Proof,' shared how she has displayed random acts of kindness in the past.
"I love Milan Kundera and there's this book he wrote 'Immortality' and this woman is walking around giving people flowers in the street. So I do that sometimes. I'll give people flowers in the street. It's amazing to watch someone's face as you give them flowers in the street, and someone down the block see it, and they're like that's really weird. And then they kind of look and face you again and they're like, I wonder if she's going to give me a flower. They kind of feel a little bit upset if I like don't totally see them. You see them slowing down to make sure. You're like, 'Would you like a flower?' And they're like, 'sure, sure!' I did that twice in
interview at the Four Season Las Angeles at
Early in 'Seven Pounds' it is revealed that
"The only people who make me feel that are my mother and my grandmother," she shared. "I love my dad and I love my brother and I love all of the people in my life, but the people who literally really stop my heart are my mother and my grandmother."
During a recent visit by her mother and grandmother,
"I remember when they were all coming to visit me and I was driving. I don't have any kids but I could imagine what it feels like to drive your kids in the car and suddenly just be really aware of all the jerks on the road. It was like I was in driving school. I was checking all my mirrors and I was making sure I was going super-slow. My grandmother was like, 'why are you going so slow?' I suddenly just felt so concerned that I had three generations in one car and how responsible I would be for that. We're just emotionally connected, the three of us, in a deep way," she explained.
The multiracial actress – she's of Puerto Rican and Afro-Cuban descent – has some poignant scenes in 'Seven Pounds' and one in particular completely challenged her method towards acting.
"The most emotionally intense were the scenes in the hospital. One where I am calling [Will's character] and making the phone call. As we were shooting it, [the director] Gabriele [Muccino] felt it was running too long. It was running several minutes long. We were shooting and shooting and I'm balling. Gabriele is like 'cut, cut, cut, its running too long.' So he and Will walked away and came back and said, 'these three pages are out.' I went, 'ah, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, okay.' That was amazing because as an actress sometimes, even in that space of keeping it fresh and doing all that, you get caught in your rhythm. I had to get out of that rhythm and be fresh with it again and still be able to be connected and emotional. It was just really structuring it and that was when I needed be technical," she said.
elivery of the script came from the support and the coaching of a friend and fellow 'Rent' co-star.
"I'm not Juilliard trained, but I was lucky that I was talking to Tracie Thoms and she would come over and we would have meetings about the character and we worked the entire script together and I benefited from her Juilliard training. That was something that was really, really intense," she admitted.
"Uh, no! Narcissistic actress right here," she teased, before adding: "I don't see myself onscreen. I see [the character]. But when I see myself, that's when I get annoyed. But I get really kind of miffed when I hear about actors who don't watch their own films. It's like, why should I pay $10 to watch it if you won't even watch it."

'Seven Pounds' also stars Michael Ealy, Woody Harrelson and Robinne Lee and opens nationwide on Dec. 19.

Random acts of kindness is so rewarding. It's a wonderful feeling that you can't achieve any other way. I was getting in my car in the grocery store parking lot and I saw this woman with a baby half falling in her arms and papers in her other hand that she was trying to get to a trash can to throw away...I went to her and said let me help you, I'll take that for you, you are throwing it away, right? She smiled and looked surprise and said yes, thank you. I said no problem and threw the papers in the trash and she was able to get a good grip on her baby who was jerking all around in her arms. She said no one has ever helped her like that, thanks so much. I said have a Wonderful day and got in my car and left. Just sharing it now makes me feel good all over again. We need to focus more on acts of kindness...we need a kindness movement started.

I love Will Smith and Rosario Dawson, but the movie Seven Pounds was awful. It was so slow and boring that by a quarter into the movie, you could figure out what the movie was about and it dragged on and on and by the end, you couldn't wait for Will Smith to get his butt in the tub and get it over with. By it being so boring and drawn out, you could'nt feel any compassion for Will's character, you were just angry that you paid to see it. The theater was sold out, but people were falling asleep and leaving. It was horrible. This is a movie that you can definitely wait to see on DVD. Don't waste your money, or you'll be very unhappy. I don't know one person that saw it that liked it. Two thumbs down for me.

you an never do too much godd while living on this planet. After all we are simply spiritual beings trapped inside these bodies and we are all here for a reason . mine is to help others whenever possible as long as it's in my power to do so. There came a time in my life when i asked the Lord to come into my life and to use me as a tool and he does. When he does and i see someone benifit from my actions I feel good all over and that feeling is priceless.

Will Smith and Rosario Dawson were beautiful in Men in Black two. Although I have not gone to see Seven Pounds as of yet, I believe that Will is the best male actor to date. I loved him in Handcock. I would love to see Mr. Smith strut his sexy stuff as a villian in a Wonderwoman movie. Yea, Beyonce Knowles would definitely "UPGRADE YA'" in that one.

I've read a lot of different reviews about this movie, but it's one I want to see for myself. Rosario Dawson is a very talented actress, and I'm looking forward to seeing her opposite Will Smith in this movie.

MY RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS
1. YEARS AGO...AFTER GRADUATING FROM COLLEGE...I RETURNED ONE DAY TO MY SCHOOL TO PICK UP SOME PAPERS...IT WAS RAINING CATS AND DOGS...I NOTICED A LADY STANDING AT THE BUS STOP...SHE LOOKED LIKE SHE COULD HAVE BEEN MY MOTHER OR ANYONES MOTHER....I ASKED HER IF I COULD GIVE HER A RIDE...I KNOW SHE MAY HAVE BEEN HESITANT...AND YET I WAS HESITANT ALSO...BUT THE RAIN WAS COMING DOWN SO HARD...SHE ACCEPTED THE RIDE...I DROPPED HER OFF ON THE CORNER OF HER STREET...AND SHE THANKED ME FOR THE RIDE.
2. A FEW YEARS AGO...IN THE BUILDING I USE TO WORK IN...I NOTICE A LADY SITTING IN THE CAFETERIA WITH AN OXYGEN TUBE IN HER NOSE...I ASKED HER IF SHE NEEDED ANYTHING...SHE SAID SHE WAS JUST WAITIING FOR A CERTAIN OFFICE TO OPEN UP...SHE HAD ARRIVED EARLY...I AGAIN ASKED HER IF SHE NEEDED ANY COFFEE, JUICE, ANYTHING TO EAT...SHE SAID SHE COULD USE SOME JUICE AND PERHAPS SOME TOAST...I PURCHASED BOTH ITEMS FOR HER AND GAVE HER MY BUSINESS CARD...AND TOLD HER IF SHE NEEDED ANYTHING ELSE...TO GIVE ME A CALL.
3. ABOUT A YEAR AGO...I WAS IN A GROCERY STORE...ONE IN WHICH YOU HAVE TO USE A BONUS CARD TO RECEIVE SALE ITEMS...I WAS AT THE SELF SERVE LINE...WHEN THE CLERK ASKED ME IF I COULD LET THE MAN NEXT TO ME USE MY BONUS CARD...I SAID SURE...THE CLERK STATED THAT THE MAN WHO WAS IN A WHEEL CHAIR...USUALLY HAS PROBLEMS PUTTING HIS GROCERY UP ON THE COUNTER AND THAT SHE WOULD PROBABLY HAVE TO HELP HIM WITH SOME ITEMS...AFTER I LET THE MAN USE MY CARD...I THEN TOOK HIS ITEMS OUT OF THE CART AND BEGAN RINGING THEM UP FOR HIM...HE GAVE ME HIS MONEY WHEN IT WAS TIME TO CASH OUT...AND I PUT THE MONEY IN THE MACHINE AND GAVE HIM HIS CHANGE...AND HE THANKED ME FOR HELPING HIM WITH HIS GROCERIES...AND THE CLERK ASLO THANKED ME FOR HELPING HIM.
4. TODAY WHILE OUT SHOPPING AT THE MALL...A MAN WAS TAKING TWO LARGE GIFT BASKETS OUT OF THE TRUNK OF HIS CAR...IT WAS OBVIOUS HE WAS STRUGGLING WITH BOTH THE LARGE GIFT BASKETS...AND THERE WAS NO WAY HE COULD CLOSE THE TRUNK DOWN...WITHOUT DROPPING ONE OF THOSE BASKETS...AS I WAS WALKING BY...WITH TWO VERY LARGE ITEMS IN BAGS THAT I WAS CARRYING...I HAD A FREE HAND...AND I TOLD THE MAN...I WOULD CLOSE THE TRUNK FOR HIM....HE SMILED...I CLOSED THE TRUNK AND HE SAID THANK YOU.
5. AND OF COURSE...WHENEVER I AM IN A STORE...WITH SEVERAL ITEMS AT THE COUNTER...AND I TURN TO SEE THE PERSON BEHIND ME WITH ONLY ONE ITEM...I LET THEM GO AHEAD OF ME.
YOU HAVE TO HAVE A GOOD HEART...IN ORDER TO DO RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS. YOU DO THESE THINGS NOT FOR PRAISE...BUT BECAUSE IT MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD TO HELP OTHERS...AND TO THINK THAT IF YOU EVER NEEDED HELP...THAT SOMEONE WOULD BE KIND TO YOU ALSO.
