Former '106 & Park' host Free has landed a new gig.
The one-time BET vee-jay, whose real name is Marie Wright, has joined New York City's Power 105.1 FM radio station as a co-host on the 'Ed Lover Morning Show.'
Free joined the station officially on Oct. 14 and broadcasts on weekdays from 6AM to 10AM.
This isn't the Massachusetts-bred talent's first stint in radio.
After her unceremonious departure from the top 
-rated '106 & Park' after hosting the show for five years, Free joined the now defunct Los Angeles station The Beat 100.3 FM and hosted an afternoon show called 'Free's World.'
She left that station after they switched from a Hip-Hop and R&B format to become an Urban Adult Contemporary station.

'King of Comedy' D.L. Hughley is hoping to become the king of cable.
The
BV Buzz reported on Aug. 18 that the news network was finalizing a deal with Hughley for his own show on the network.
Now the series is set to premiere on Oct. 25 at 10PM and will repeat on Sundays at the same time.
The 45-year-old star of NBC's 'Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip' was a contender for hosting CBS's 'Late Late Show' after host Craig Kilborn left.
Despite scoring the show's highest ratings of the season while guest hosting, Hughley wasn't offered the job and comic Craig Ferguson filled the slot.

I always liked Free as the host of 106 & Park. I was shocked when her and AJ was poorly replaced. The show has not been the. They can change the stage, the background and furniture but Free and AJ is irreplacable

I miss Free I wish she had another TV Show her and AJ was way better then Terrence and Rocsi. Good for her and D.L Hughley he keeps a job lol

I agree I miss free also, I have not watched 106 & Park in a long time. i am no longer interested in the show, it seems like Terrance and Rocsi try to much to be like Free and AJ was but they will never get there.

I think everyone can say that they miss Free and AJ,The show will never be the same. When is Terrance and Rosci contract UP. They are truely boring and Fake

DL WAS A FUNNY COMEDIAN WHEN HE FIRST STARTED, NOW SINCE HE A BIT OF STATUS, HIS JOKES ARE MORE LIKE A "BAFOON". IT SEEMS EVERYTIME "SOME" OF THESE COMEDIANS GET BIG, THEY JOKES SEEM TO BE MORE UGLY THINGS ABOUT THEIR OWN RACE AS IF IT DOSENT APPLY TO THEM. LOL. ANYWAY, PLEASE KEEP DL OFF OF CNN UNTIL THE ELECTIONS ARE OVER! THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR HIS SIMPLE ASS JOKES ABOUT OBAMA... I am to the point where I think they should cancel 106 & Park like they did TRL and Rap City. Rocsi was cool when she did the 10am-2pm show on Power 92 in
Chicago. But since being on BET, she's not the same. Maybe its the format, I don't know. Congrats to DL on all of his future success, I would love to see him come back and host to Comic View again. Even for just one season.

I,also was sad when Free left 106. But it was time for a change and the two hosting the show now are doing a wonderful job. If you look at their audience they are teengers so it was time for Free and Aj to move on to bigger and better things.
