Paris BennettSeason five 'American Idol' contestant Paris Bennett has given birth to a baby girl.

The singer's rep confirmed that she welcomed a daughter named Egypt Bennett on Monday afternoon.

Bennett's firstborn arrived at 3:36pm and weighed in at five pounds, 15 ounces.

"I'm so excited to finally see my little angel – and man, does she have lungs on her," the singer announced. "I guess she's gearing up to be the next 'American Idol.'"

"Paris's mother Jamecia Bennett and her family is filled with excitement and welcomes their bundle of joy," her rep said in the statement.

BV Buzz reported back on June 28 that the 20-year-old 'A.I.' finalist was pregnant after her mother confirmed the news with 'Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune' columnist C.J.

"This makes five generations," an overjoyed Jamecia said at that time.

"Princess P," who is the granddaughter of former Sounds of Blackness lead singer Ann Nesby, has never revealed the identity of her daughter's father, previously telling the paper that he "chooses not to be in the public eye."

In other news, Bennett will release a jazz-fused holiday CD, 'A Royal Christmas,' on Oct. 14.
