"Aretha has always been like that. We've always accepted that from her. She's the queen of soul, and I'm the queen of rock 'n' roll. There were so many kings and queens there that night. Her ego must be so bi

Ok people bottom lines here: (1) Aretha 1968 COVER of Time Magazine: Where was Tina?
(2) Aretha who else could stand in for a sick Pavoratti and sing an ITALIAN aria at the 1998 Grammys to a STANDING OVATION. She learned the song in 8 minutes. Where was Tina?
(3) can actually play an instrument to accompany and arrange her own material. A True musician as well.
(4) has hit number 1 on every chart in contemporary American music from Gospel, R&B, Pop and Jazz.

Bless your heart fss. Tina Turner's record sales, touring, best selling books, and hit movie all speak to the mark she's left on the industry. Tina is three years older than Aretha, yet Aretha looks old enough to be her mother. Tina is not only a singer, but a PERFORMER. Please google her bio before you come on any other site and make yourself look foolish.
