Season six 'American Idol' finalist LaKisha Jones is about to be a bride.
The
Jones, who impressed 'Idol' judges with performances of songs like Jennifer Holiday's 'And I Am Telling You,' Shirley Bassey's 'Diamonds Are Forever,' and Aretha Franklin's 'Think,' will wear a strapless gown by Alfred Angelo, Neil Lane diamond earrings, bracelet and necklace, on loan from The Platinum Guild, and Stuart Weitzman shoes adorned with the couple's initials in Swaroski crystals.
BeBe Winans will serenade the couple during the ceremony and wedding guests include R&B singer Chaka Khan and 'A.I.' contest 
ants Melinda Doolittle and Gina Glocksen.
The couple plans to honeymoon in Barbados.
The 28-year-old singer recently appeared on Broadway in 'The Color Purple' alongside Winans and Khan. In the production, Jones played the Church Soloist in the evening shows and played Khan's role of Miss Sofia during the matinees.
In addition, the mother of a five year old daughter Brionne has been touring as a backup singer for Khan while working on her debut solo CD.

I remember LaKisha. She brought the house down with "And I Am Telling You" and Simon liked her. Problem was, that was right out the gate and she quite did anything to measure up. Liked her voice. Wish her well and congrats!

Okay #6, #9, etc. if you would read, I'm not going to say if you could read, apparently you can...She was one of the actors in the Color Purple on Broadway...and in American Idol. Not too crazy about Idol, but Broadway is making a mark. The Broadway version was also produced by Oprha "heard of her" Winfrey!
Culture people....culture. That's why we need to support Spike Lee's new movie. Search it out. Let's do more than dance, party and have a good time!!!
