Congratulations are in order for actress Terri J. Vaughn. The star of 'All of Us' and 'The Steve Harvey Show' gave birth to her second son, a baby boy named Kal'El Joseph Riley on April 21.
Vaughn is married to arena football star Karon Riley, who plays for the Cleveland Gladiators. This is the couple's first child.
Baby Riley weighed seven pounds, six ounces and measured 19.5 inches at his time of birth.
The child's name, Kal'El, was inspired because Riley is a self-proclaimed 'Superman' fanatic and Kal'El is Superman's Kryptonian name and means "God-like abilities."
"I think the name is very fitting for him -- he's strong, cool and mellow, just perfect," the actress said at the time of delivery. "I could tell even when I was carrying him inside me because he made me feel like Superwoman!"
The football star is excited about being a first time father. "Kal'El looks just like his daddy," he said. "Terri was amazing during the delivery."
The 'Daddy's Little Girl' star has another son, Daylen Ali, 6, from her previous marriage to Derrick Carolina.
Vaughn most recently starred in the films 'Dirty Laundry,' 'Redrum' and 'Three Can Play That Game.'
The actress has a non-profit organization called Take Wings Foundation, which provides scholarships, mentoring and job training opportunities for young women living in public housing in

Please stop the foolishness. That's the same name Nick Cage gave his son. The poor kid. Couldn't they name him Kaleel or something. Boy gonna grow up into an alien.

Kudos to the would-be/should-be First Lady.
She is truly example of steadfast devotion to family that America needs.
Whether or not we vote for her husband, she should be hailed for how well she's weathered the storm of controversy and conflict without losing her dignity.
This nation will be better off when more like her stand up for the principals that hold us all together despite our differences.

Well Janice.... It doesn't matter if
Louise is black or white she is right on this one. Most Africian-Americans; esp the younger generation will name their kids almost anything. Not thinking about the long term effect this will have on that child. they dont understand that you have already labeled that child. I have sen names that women have used to try and name the child after the father (a girl child). Try using names that have some diginity and true definition. There are a lot of names that are unique that you can use to make you childs life easier in the long run. I know a girl that named her child Timberland. That is the name of a freaking shoe and what company wnats to be on the intercom paging TIMBERLAND!!!!! So think about it before you shhot Louise down.... SHE IS RIGHT and just to let you know I AM BLACK!!!!!

The sad part is that...WE ARE AMERICANS...period. Most folks who are claiming to be African Americans...are AMERICANS of MIXED ancestry. Most black folks in american are a mixture of the white race, the native american race, and the african race...but bottom line is that we are AMERICANS. Now, to me, an african american is someone straight from the continent, who now lives in america. Like my friends from Nigeria, Ghana, etc. They laugh at us because while they recognize that they are a part of our ancestry, that we are also mixed with a couple other races. It seems to me sometimes that we as Americans of mixed ancestry are confused, and WANT to be 100% african...and we are not. Just stop the madness...and yes, I am an American of MIXED ancestry...black, white and native american!!!!
