Terrence J

'106 & Park' host Terrence J will make his feature film debut in the sequel to 'Stomp the Yard.'

The TV host, whose real name is Terrence Jenkins, will play the role of Ty, a key lineman in Chance's fraternity.

"As a graduate of an HBCU and member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, I am honored to join the all-star cast of 'Stomp the Yard 2,'" he told BV Buzz exclusively. "I immediately gravitated to the role and can't wait to bring it to life. I was a fan of the first Stomp the Yard and plan to deliver for the sequel."

Chris Brown & Rihanna

Chris Brown is getting some support as he works towards moving beyond his domestic violence ordeal with Rihanna.

The National Coalition For Men (NCFM) has released a statement challenging Rihanna to take ownership of her part in the domestic ordeal and discuss her violence towards the 'Take You Down' crooner.

In their press release, the NCFM wrote: "According to court records and other sources, Rihanna struck Brown in the face 'numerous times' before Brown assaulted her. NCFM purports although that would not justify his more severe assault, her violence should not be ignored, and if she does not 'woman up' to it then her message will be the usual one-sided double standards that leave female perpetration covered up."

BeBe Winans/Oprah Winfrey

On the heels of receiving negative press a week ago, talk show titan Oprah Winfrey won't allow her friend, gospel singer BeBe Winans to host her Karaoke Challenge on her daytime talk show.

Winfrey was accused of having "double standards" last week after TMZ reported how the media mogul publicly rebuked R&B star Chris Brown for his domestic dispute with singer Rihanna, but had longtime friend Winans on her show to promote his new CD with sister CeCe Winans.

BeBe & CeCe appeared on 'Oprah' on Friday, Oct. 23 and performed a new song called 'Grace.' After the performance, Winfrey announced: "You'll be seeing more of BeBe in my Karaoke Challenge later this season."

Marvin Sapp

Following the success of his 2007 CD, 'Thirsty,' Marvin Sapp is gearing up for a big 2010 with the anticipated release of a just-recorded new CD.

"Hopefully my record company will let me put this out around March or April," the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based pastor said.

Sapp's desired retail plan may be a little presumptuous, as his 'Thirsty' CD remains a Top 15 bestseller on the gospel charts two years after its release thanks to his runaway smash, 'Never Would Have Made It.'

Regardless, the former Commissioned member recently recorded a collection of new songs live at Resurrection Life Church in Grand Rapids.

SolangeBV Buzz can officially report that Solange Knowles is no longer signed to Interscope/Geffen Records.

This news is no shock to me – quoting a song from Solange's 'Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams' CD, 'I Told You So' – as this column originally reported that the label intended to part ways with Beyonce's little sister on April 7.

(Read: 'Music World Moves: Kelly Rowland & Solange Knowles Record Deal Drama.')

BV Buzz's previous story caused a firestorm of backlash from both Solange and her father and manager, Mathew Knowles.

At the time, Knowles sent over this unedited statement: "Our joint venture with Music World and Interscope/Geffen/A&M is very much in placed for Solange. It's very disappointing in recent days the amount of false statements in the marketplace from Solange being drop to me accused of being Kelly Rowland's father."

Oprah Winfrey/Mo'Nique

"When I saw Ms. Oprah Winfrey on 'People are Talking' [Winfrey's daily talk show in Baltimore from 1978 to 1983] and we took a school trip there when I was in broadcasting school, I said, 'she looks like me: she's fat, she's black, she's got big feet. She's doing it? Okay I believe I want to do that, too!"

– Comedienne Mo'Nique talks about how talk show mogul Oprah Winfrey inspired her to want to work in the entertainment in a cover story for the new issue of Uptown magazine.

Ironically, the star of Lee Daniels' critically acclaimed new film 'Precious' is catching flack from the Hollywood community for refusing to promote the film that is expected to land her an Oscar nomination because the film studio Lions Gate won't pay her to promote the film. Winfrey and media mogul Tyler Perry are producers on the film.

Diana Ross/Tyler Perry

Tyler Perry has been on a quest to land Diana Ross for his movie, 'A Jazz Man's Blues' for almost a year.

The Hollywood mogul said despite his public pleas and sending private gifts, the Golden Globe Award-winning star of 'Lady Sings The Blues' will not return his calls.

"Diana Ross is still ignoring me man," Perry admitted to me, during a recent interview in New York City at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. "I've sent flowers! I've sent everything! I am hoping she hears how Gladys [Knight] was treated and how Mary J. [Blige] was treated [in 'I Can Do Bad All By Myself']. I know how to treat a woman, you know. That's why I haven't done 'Jazz Man' yet because I'm waiting for her to say, 'Yes!' Once she says, 'yes,' I'll do that film.
