Good Riddance: Shonda Rhimes Lets Katherine Heigl Leave Grey's Anatomy

Reports have surfaced that 'Grey Anatomy' executive producer Shonda Rhimes and ABC have decided to let Emmy-winning actress Katherine Heigl out of her contract so that she can leave the popular drama.

BV Buzz wrote an open letter to Rhimes last year begging her to let Heigl out of her contract since the ungrateful actress had been publicly griping about the series in the press.

Apparently Heigl had been asking to be released from her contract for almost three years.

The Game: Sitcom's Return On BET Nearly Finalized

Good news for fans of the former CW sitcom 'The Game.'

Sources close to the production tell BV Buzz that Black Entertainment Television has struck a deal with 'The Game's' parent company Paramount to develop new episodes of the popular series.

"The deal is done between the two networks," the source told BV Buzz. "Now it's a matter of getting the actors under contract again."

When The CW canceled the show in May of last year, the contracts with the shows stars Tia Mowry, Pooch Hall, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Hosea Chanchez, Brittany Daniel and Coby Bell weren't optioned and ultimately expired on June 30, 2009.

Amid rumors that Rocko has cheated on the 'Boy Is Mine' singer, Monica took to twitter to confirm that the two have gone their separate ways.

"Thank U everyone for all the love you're sending. @Rocko4Real is a great father and we will continue to love and parent our children. The rest is a private matter between @Rocko4Real and I. He is a good person. We all make mistakes. Even separated we will always be family. I say thank U again to U all," she wrote.

Nine-time Grammy winner Mary J. Blige has constantly shared her life through her music during her 20-year career.

From her first CD in 1992, 'What's the 411?,' to last year's 'Stronger with Each Tear;' the New York-bred singer has sung about her highs and lows on the nine albums she's released.

Now the 39-year-old vocalist is contemplating writing a book, one that will put her life story on paper and serve as a cautionary guide for women – particularly those who want to get into the entertainment business.

"I think its time," Blige told BV Buzz about the idea during an interview during Disney's Dreamer's Academy at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.

Pulpit Ponzi: Winans Family Member Accused In Massive Money FraudA member of the legendary Winans gospel family is being named as the ringleader of a Detroit area Ponzi scheme that could have made him as much at $11 million in early estimates.

The Office of Financial and Insurance Regulation announced today that a 14-month investigation uncovered that Michael Winans Jr., a member of the gospel quarter Winans Phase 2 and the son of The Winans singer, Michael Winans Sr., apparently led the Ponzi scheme that involved a Saudi Arabian crude old bond scam.

On a conference call led by Michigan state regulators today, the Office of Financial and Insurance Regulation said it was determined that Winans Jr. was the mastermind of the multilevel scam.

Lincoln Heights: ABC Drama Canceled

BV Buzz was surprised to learn that ABC Family has canceled its hit drama, 'Lincoln Heights.'

The show's star Russell Hornsby shared the news with BV Buzz at an NAACP Image Awards pre-gala last week; however The Walt Disney owned cable channel announced on Jan. 29 that it would not renew the series.

Incidentally, 'Lincoln Heights' took home a trophy for Outstanding Drama Series at the NAACP Image Awards, beating out 'Grey's Anatomy,' 'Cold Case,' 'HawthoRNE' and 'The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency!'
